Because EY is being a dipshit right now. Big firms do that from time to time, unfortunately.

Why has EY been terminating many people due to vision 2020?

I would have thought the same thing... if there wasn't also the term "resigned" being used in the roster

like

^Idk about your firms, but usually regardless of the reason they've left former employees of my firm (and my clients' employees-payroll & 401k testing) use the word "terminated".

like

It's usually apparent pretty early on if someone is going to work out or not. Sometimes it's a fit issue that wasn't sussed out during an interview. Sometimes with recent graduates, they're just not yet ready for the real world. Someone from my new hire class got canned after two months. This was 14 years ago. He turned out just fine.

Sure they were terminated not voluntary leave?

When I saw our 201 training roster... their names said "term" next to them. While others said "resign"... I'm assuming that means terminated?

Terminated can be voluntary, fired, or laid off

Terminated is not usually used for voluntary though

Region?

Central

Chicago eh?

How'd you see the roster already?

Not Chicago lol and I saw the roster because I had to reschedule my training to a different city

Anyone work on a Mac and use parallels when in need of excel? If so, does it work or is it a big no-no? My work going forward will not primarily be excel, but I have to use it on weekly/monthly basis. Might also have to use some Power BI. Would love to go back to working on a Mac but excel has stopped me from buying one…
