I just started reading up on tbill ladder, and it seems like an interesting (and safe) way to lock in decent, tax advantaged, returns. I already have $20k in ibonds, and was planning to put in another $10k in January to lock in 6% interest for first 6 months, but am wondering if I should use it to start building a tbill ladder instead. Thoughts?

When you refund a signing bonus do you
1- refund ALL of it even taxes Withheld ?
2- refund only the amount that was deposited in your account
3- mix between 1 and 2 refund more than was deposited but less than the whole amount ( taxes should be refunded to me next year)

My financial advisor is asking if I want to roll over my 401k to them. I’ve always rolled over to my next employer, but since I had previously had vanguard (I trust vanguard) and now have empower (unknown to me) Im considering doing it. Is the major trade off that I would be paying the 1% management fee? For context it’s 100k to rollover and my current brokerage with the FA is about 50k. I know I don’t have much to warrant the FA but I like putting investing on auto pilot so I don’t obsess.
