Yeah, OP sounds a bit nuts. It’s a city of 5-6 million with hotels ranging from the low end to the four seasons / mandarin. If you can’t find a decent hotel, the problem is you.
ATL blows what do u expect
I stay in the W Downtown and Westin and haven’t ever had a noise issue
BA1, tell us why “ATL blows”..
@mckinsey, thanks for offering to help instead of calling me crazy! Client is closer to the airport so Buckhead isn’t really an option which is where many people suggest for me to stay :) I’ve tried Twelve Atlantic station, courtyard Georgia tech, w midtown, w downtown and sheraton atlanta Downtown. I liked the sheraton atlanta Downtown the best of them all.
There’s a Westin right near the airport that I believe is suppose to be quite good. There’s a Sheraton over there too if you’re partial to that. If you go downtown I would do one of the tall hotels near Centennial Park (there are a lot) and ask to be on a high floor (you won’t be able to hear the downtown traffic as much). Maybe the Omni? Or the Westin downtown is my favorite. Personally I think the Sheraton downtown is old and kind of dirty for a downtown hotel with bad room service. But it is quiet (thick older walls and a bit out of the way)
Try the Hotel Glenn. Marriott Autograph collection one. Was nice when I was there earlier this year.
I request a fan in my room every stay. The white noise blocks all the other crap out. I sleep like a baby.

Drink less caffeine so you can sleep easier
I’ve never had that issue in Atlanta. Maybe it’s the hotel that you’re at.
W Midtown high floor or Marquis Marriott.
OP, where are you currently staying and do you have a preference for part of town? Happy to give you suggestions (from someone who has been in Atlanta 7+ years)
I’ve never had issues in Atlanta. Best hotels actually
