I just want to share an opinion quickly for the group. Recently someone else posted about their viewing of other EA merit increases looking for advise on how to approach the conversation with their leader regarding why their merit was less. I was pretty upset to see all the judgy and all unhelpful comments on that post. I think we can all agree that no EA job is alike. I really love this group as I find it incredibly helpful for feedback and different experiences. Follow on in comments

I always come to this group for mentorship and support, not judgement and I think it’s important that we maintain that standard. As I mentioned I think we can all agree that no EA job is alike and as a group I think we can do a much better job of supporting each other than we did on that post. Props to the members who did offer advice instead of criticism and judgement. For example, in my own career I would absolutely have had access to that file and in many cases my leaders would have given me the info to enter for all of their directs. No leader is the same, the expectations of an EA are different at every company and even every executive within the same company. Some are very good at communicating what is/isn’t acceptable for their EA to view, others provide little to no guidance, others treat their EA as their exact equal. I wanted to share this post as I think it’s important we reserve our commentary to support each other and be helpful. If what we have to say is neither supportive or helpful, I think we can do a much better job of keeping that to ourselves. The last thing I’d like to see if people fearing to post in this group like you see on other platforms for fear of being ridiculed and judged. Let’s please just remember that we are all people, prone to error, and different. We are also in a function that is defined differently in each and every role. Nobody ever posts in this group or any forum like this with the intent to be ridiculed and judged for their actions. Let’s support, help, and uplift each other rather than cut each other down.

I’m really sorry you received some of those comments. I’ve never been so disappointed when looking at posts here. Please don’t be afraid to post. We have a lot of people from all different levels who do have helpful things to say and are here to support you. I’ve found so much value in responses here, at times on some complex issues. I hope see you have that experience as well. I think Maybe it was just a bad day for the group lol

Honest opinion required from experienced people.....

I am currently drawing 16.5 as an Associate Manager 2nd year have told them to kindly correct 2 3 times to SM in SAT domain. This is the 3rd year have told.

Can anyone please suggest what would be the median salary in SAT for this level. I presume it should be 25 to 30, i am sure this year it is again fake promises and they can't suddenly pull me in this range from 16.5.

I work on an internal team -- my team is 90% female identifying and we are, without a doubt, the lowest paid team in the entire company.

I get it. We're internal, not billable. But we're told we're the "heart and soul" of the company and we were responsible for setting up people to wfh and evolve our processes and culture activities for the virtual world. Now we're expected to straddle both and we're not hiring.

I'm applying for different jobs right now and can tell that my pat at BCG is much lower than the crazy market right now.
