Joining a start up and curious what y’all think. They raised somewhere between $5-10 million series A a few years ago. Recently acquired a small company. Have between 60-100 employees. Does this automatically mean they must be profitable (having that many employees with such a small funding round?

Going through a closeout. 50-50 profit share allocation, but my business partner has been using the venture money at their personal piggy bank (hence the breakup). My accountants say because we agreed to 50-50 shares, the leftover money has to be divided equally.

They spent $100k in the last month on random "work stuff" but bought a new car, etc. Now I have to pay for it with less equity return!

Receiving an offer to join C-suite and first executive hire of a small startup, almost three years old, growing 50% CAGR, 7M revenue. Currently, the startup is owned 59-39 by the two co-founders (2% combined to three advisors). I address a massive gap for them. What is reasonable to ask for %-wise? Would be taking a significant pay cut (currently on $380k) They will be raising a round soon, but only valuation was a 409 from a year ago, putting them at 9M.

My cofounder (President, and science head) and I (CEO, business lead) are looking to incorporate a C Corp in Delaware. The state requirement is that one officer needs to be President and the other as Secretary. We are equal contributors and do not want these roles to create unequal and unfair distribution of role, power and say in company. Advise please
