Happy Friday! I am joining new - financial company on contract to hire but now seeing more full time jobs where I think I could be good fit in. Shall I apply or appear in interview and leave a job in a months time. I don’t want to do this as it definitely will burn the bridges.

Hi Guys, need help from you
I interviewed for tcs for SAP function Consultant and cleared technical as well as managerial round on same day. Next day I received mail from HR that I have been shortlisted and require to submit all the documents.

What would be the market value of an experienced staff with 16 months of big 4 experience - NYC?
PSA: I had a horrible experience applying for a job at Devoted Health. Applied online and then got asked to schedule a phone interview. On the day of the interview, I waited 20 min and nothing happened. I emailed the HR rep, he didn’t acknowledge or apologize and just told me to reschedule so I did. I even sent a separate email to confirm the second phone call. Second day of the interview, same thing, no show. I sent an email letting him know that my time is not being valued. (Cont’d)
I am contemplating a move to industry (PE firm) and currently in PA. It’s a tax director role.
For those of you who have made the change. Would you say your satisfied or bored?
My fear is that my technical skills won’t grow as fast as in PA since the consulting work would be outsourced and I would mostly be a liaison for the advisors. Tax technical is very important to me.
Also wanted to see if there are any questions you would ask at the interview using hindsight?
Writing assignments as part of a job application/interview process — seems like a way to get free legal advice?
I applied to a job and, after the HR/Hiring Mgr interviews, was sent a writing assignment: 2 questions, asking me to propose specific legal strategies and make proposals for the exact 2 things that the interviewers stated they were hiring the role for. (Sorry for vagueness, trying to stay anonymous). Kind-of a turnoff; feel taken advantage of — not sure if I want to complete it?
Is there a level in consulting at which case interviews are no longer relevant (like manager or senior manager), or will you always be expected to complete a case as part of an interview at a good firm?

I work at a $5B healthcare company, & my boss of 6 years is SVP of strategy. She was promoted to EVP and is restructuring our team. We met and I told her I want to grow. She was talking with our COO about me, and he is interested in working with me. She told me to reach out to him, and now we have a meeting next. Now I feel like my boss has regrets based on her texts saying “I don’t want to lose you” but I’m interested. What do I do??
We are a data/software provider. My business folks get lots of requests from customers to fill out annual security/due-diligence assessments. I don’t have an issue with them generally, but many of them now include “attestations of compliance”, and will throw in a link to their Vendor Code of Conduct.
We don’t agree in our contracts that we will comply with their Codes (or even that we will answer these assessments in the first place) - but assuming that the business does “attest” to (Cont)

Are all of you super detail oriented? If not, how did you become more detail oriented? I try to take a step a away and double check my work but doesn’t seem to always work and I still miss the little things.
Working in public for three+ years I am starting to rethink my future. I am a firm believer in “paying my dues” into a career, but when I look at the “tone at the top” I can’t possibly imagine how anyone would WANT to stay. The idea of working 50+ hours a week for the rest of my profession. My quality of life sucks right now. At this point I would happily take a pay cut to work less, but do enjoy aspects of public. Someone please convince me it gets better and it is worth it to stay.
