We'll keep that in mind next time this conversation has anything at all to do with you
Sorry for thinking you were relevant to MBB. My mistake, PwC1.
I would say it's equally easy/hard across Accenture and Big 4.
112k M1 in the Southwest. Granted I started as an Analyst 3 years ago. I guess I'm a superstar, after all to have moved Analyst > Sr Analyst > Consultant > Manager in 3 years.
It's so easy to make manager... do you mean senior manager?
Our managers are 200-300
Total cash comp excluding retirement. The problem with comparing base is that some firms give higher bonuses. 300 comp is likely around 200 base + 100 bonus. I realize that all else equal base is better because bonus can always change, but regardless I think total comp is the more relevant comparison.
Pwc2, keep in mind that is VERY rare. Like VERY VERY ease. Most people would make manager in 5-6 years here. Closer to 6.
The typical timeline now (non strat) is: 1 year analyst, 1 year senior analyst, 3 consultant.. so 5 years total.
Acn has options to get promoted rapidly of you are kicking ass. The big 4 dont really offer that option. For some reason people confuse rapid promotions w easier to make a level
It also pays less at that level I believe?
Depends on your DTE. In MC/strategy, I don't think so.
@PWC1 I think we were pretty competitive. I made $150-$190 base during my years as Mgr in SF.
Yea I was 105 as M1 at Acn but it was 2010
McK isn't exactly a big 4. :)
M1 - your managers base is 200-300 or all in?
I know a Boston Accenture guy who went to manager in 3 years too. I don't see that as much here, entry-level managers have been doing manager stuff as a senior for a year or more.
As a first yr M at D u can expect ~160 base with 20-30k bonus in S&O.
Aren't ACN levels a bit different though? I've met managers who are 4 years out of undergrad at ACN. That just isn't possible at D unless in exceptional circumstances that I've never heard of.
