I keep on running into civilian managers who are afraid to hold veterans to a high standards and tolerate low performance. Anybody been successful with any tactics in changing this mindset?

I teach Business and will be teaching BIM in the fall. Microsoft Word is the first section. If we are partially or totally virtual with ChromeBooks, what do y’all suggest for teaching Word to students since the Chromebooks only have Google Docx on them? I really like Word better and think they need to know how to use Word, but if students can’t access it, that’s a problem. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

I’ve been working in consulting for ~1 year now since graduating college. I’ve been thinking about joining the reserves for a while now and stumbled upon this bowl. Would appreciate perspectives on pros/cons of doing so, keeping in mind any opportunity costs for someone like me who’s early in their career progression.

Bought my condo but may need to move soon. Wasn't expecting things to move this fast and I haven't owned the place for a year yet.

(Reserve) Unit Transfer Help

ETS in 6 months. Really want to re-enlist for 4 -6 years. Currently in a MOB, and got promoted out of the unit last year June to another unit, did 1-year E5 work during the mob. Finishing up MOB in Nov and got accepted into a cyber unit in which I can progress my career, and want to reenlist for 6 years.


However, the unit I got promoted to insist me to go to them and I'm ETS in 6 months.
