I knew GUT wouldn't hire me when the interviewer asked, "but how many black t-shirts do you own?" and I said "zero."

I knew gut wouldn’t hire me when they asked “what’s your strength?” and I said “big idea campaign platforms that can be executed across all kinds of media”

After 48 hours Miami is intolerable

Yeah I lived there for 3 years. It’s insufferable.

Worked there for a year and got 4 black t-shirts out of it. They’re comfy and I’m wearing one right now since I have no meetings today.

I haven’t seen this out there, but it came up in my college class; don’t record your Zoom sessions if there’s any interaction with students. It violates FERPA.

Microsoft Teams. Why?

Who's thinking about quitting post bonus?

People always say sue the company or owner. Is it that easy to sue someone? Especially around employment when people are getting laid off due to Covid. I think Deloitte or any big consulting firm it’s not easy to sue them, they are well protected

Hi fish, I’d like to kindly ask for recos where to do my MBA internship. About me: - Top 3 US school - Pretty sure to join MBB post MBA - can’t intern there b/c sponsored by big 4 ex employer

Are the banks still doing virtual interviews these days or in person?

How long did you try to conceive before going to a fertility specialist? I’m 33 and have a child.

Trouble networking virtually; I started recently, 3 months ago. I am not sure how projects/internal moves work but I was wondering if anyone has advice on networking virtually? I am finding it tricky because I don't know anyone apart from my team & I can't view Talent Marketplace because I am on a billable project, not sure how long it will go. I enjoy my work and not looking to move just yet, I wanted to see what else is out there and looking for opportunities to network with more people.

So we hired our own doctor to be on a firm wide WebEx about how COVID is ok. When pushed on whether the Dr would travel, he says “No.” LOL @ the idiocy of my firm.

Being recruited at Deloitte, currently a Strategy Manager with high pay, equivalent role at D, is it possible to get 250K+ im base and 100K+ in signing bonus? and whatever the perf bonus is?

Moms, I am 14 weeks pregnant. At KPMG, the new year starts in October and basically by spring of the following year, so April 2021, is when they put people up for promotion for the following year. My goal is to make it on that promo list in April 2021 - But thats when I am due. When should I inform my team that I am pregnant and how do I let them know that I am still willing to work hard for this promo despite my pregnancy? Thank you!

So my counselor requested I set up some meetings to "put together a maternity transition plan (if any)" Just had the first one, a month and a half out from my Mat, and while I was expecting some kind of supportive "Hey let's get everything prepped for you to go!", it was just him going "Oh you've discussed the plan with your team & have a meeting to formalize it next week? What does that mean? You don't have anything written down!? Well that's not enough" Feeling very uncomfy after it.

An Irish goodbye on zoom might be even more fun than in real life.

I want to join a non-profit board (remote, voluntary etc.) and doing my groundwork, does anybody got references or recommendations on how to approach or succeed? Looking to connect and discuss with someone who’s gone through this journey..

MBA alums - what tips would you give to those of us starting our MBAs this month?? Any insights appreciated!

What activities and hobbies have you picked up during covid-19? I find my typical activities getting more and more mind numbing the longer this drags on and am looking for some suggestions off the beaten path.

Any Mckisney fish willing to put through a referral for a position I am qualified for?

I didn’t list current job on background report. Will it pop up via Sterling? I am currently in between jobs (not at Google) and took a quick side job as a secretary. It’s not relevant to my new role at all and i forgot to include it in my background report. Would this be uncovered and grounds for revoked offer? Only worked for a couple months.

Hi everyone. I interviewed for a sales role at Amazon. I was told the role was an L6 and I can stay based in Chicago. Well, the recruiter emailed me today saying the hiring team felt I was better suited for an L5 role (estimated total comp is $140K-$150K) and I would have to move to Seattle. They'll send me an offer if that works. Any advice or opinions on how to negotiate? For context, I gave a desired salary range of $280K-$310K since this was an L6 role, and my current TC at P&G is $200K.
