Denver’s market is very hot. The industries are diversified, so it stays pretty steady. Housing is expensive for a non-coastal city.
Colorado Springs is a great place to live and more affordable than Denver. There are not many public companies, so the opportunities for accountants and auditors who want to work at a PubCo would be limited.
From a quality of life standpoint Dallas is a bad comparison. They offer very different things, and so it is up to what someone is looking for.
What about income and living expense?
Income is high in Dallas and COL is low. What I have hear of CS is that housing prices are super high, as are the residents ever since marijuana was legalized.
The reason to choose CS might be the gorgeous location, being outdoors, wanting to be near that friend of yours, better summers.
You can do well in either city. Go with what matters most to you. I hate the Dallas traffic but I love my family and appreciate having them nearby.
Better in terms of quality of life? Cost of housing? Job availability?
I'm not ultra in touch w/Colorado Springs (have one friend there) but I know Dallas has a lot of jobs.
Where are you coming from, for comparison?
