I know having a dog in this career is nearly impossible without hiring a sitter. But are cats ideal? I never had pets as a kid and now I want one.

My cat is neglected 😩

I prefer a cat over a dog. Smaller. Quieter. Less mess. Less food. Knows where to shit. No crate. Doesn't need training. Can be left alone for 2-3 days with enough food and water without needing a sitter. Less likely to bother you all the time. Having a dog is like having a child whereas a cat is more like a roommate. #ObtuseAnalysis

I only work ~50 hours a week but my cat doesn’t mind at all. I had to leave it for four days once and she was fine. As long as they have some toys, enough food / water, and maybe a window with a view to keep them stimulated they’re pretty content

If a 6.5 pound cat can take me down, I 100% deserve it

I have cats (yes, more than one). They are great. You can automate the life support system for them. Spend <$200 on an automatic food dispenser and a water fountain you can leave home for 3-4 days. If you want to up your game, there are automatic litter boxes too. They are not as needy as dogs, but when they express love to you, you know.

Cats 🐱 are not nearly as needy as dogs. As long as they are fed and watered, cats pretty much don’t care if you come or go. Kind of like most WS managers now that I think about it ....... But if you want a friend who’s always happy to see you, get a dog 🐶.

How do you deal with a coworker trying to push their work on you? When I started at this company there wasn't much work assigned to me so the office manager/accountant (small company) would have me help her with this major excel document daily. It's very time consuming and requires use of a database-- in short. But can usually be finished by noon if done properly. About a month after I was hired my boss found out she was giving me work. Which I was unaware he didn't know about, and reprimanded her for it. My workload has increased tremendously after my first month and she was still having me help her with the documents. I just overheard her step into our bosses office saying that her workload is too much and that she needs help (most likely mine since I'm the only other employee trained to do so. My workload has become pretty insane most days, I don't have room in my schedule to provide her with help but I'm worried my boss will ask me to help to appease her. My boss rarely comes into the office, and on the days he's out this coworker watches soap operas and takes loud personal calls for the entirely of the day. How do I approach this if my boss asks me to help her with this task? She clearly has enough time to work on them herself.
