Transfer to another big 4 and get paid more
I'd pull some data together around data points at other firms and entry level $ at KPMG and then sit down with your supervisor and explain you want to stay, but feel you're under compensated for performance and tenure. They prob can't bring you up to speed in one period- it might take a year or two. That, or get a competing offer from Deloitte and they might match
Salary data at KPMG is a black box. All these acquisitions and new services are bringing in over paid resources.
My group doesn't exist at the other big 4 and I'd prefer to stay.
Damnit *fucked. I drank too much on the flight home.
Then break the mold and do something closer than what you're doing, and get paid more.
I've don't what D1 has recommended and it worked for me.
Maybe checkout the reason why incoming associates are being paid as much as you. Do they have a MBA, a certification that is a must have in your group, etc. Then find a opportunity to lead them and push harder for compensation during year ends. Other than that the option would be what D1 suggested.
OP - How much are you getting paid? 1st year associate here make $65k base.
Psh, 65k base where? Some make 55. Kpmg is a huge salary low baller
I've heard some KPMG new hire associates will be starting at 83! But that could be strategy or DA I guess
Wtf. Jesus, you serious???? Ha, maybe we are in the same group.
Are you mgmt consulting?
I'm in MC. Home office in Texas. @Kpmg3 - were/are you over or under this?
Under, MC, GA
First year in Texas making $65k? Stop your complaining. You understand that there are cost of living differences between cities right?
Op is a manager, not a first year
That's my bad. I misread though the comments. As a manager you're definitely getting ducked at 65k
