I know my anxiety is getting in the way of my legal work. I have writer's block every time I need to prepare pleadings or a Response. Some harsh criticism my writing skills a year ago has really gotten to me. I realize I am being ridiculous, but if rational thinking were enough to overcome anxiety then none of us would be in here. Do any of you have go to methods for conquering your anxiety and just getting the work done?

I'm not the greatest writer and I've been going through something similar lately. Best advice I can give you is to admit that the anxiety is waiting time you could be using to write. Once you're done writing, do something else and come back to it later to do a self review. I find the self review really reassures me if I've done a good job.

I recently went to the doctor and realize anxiety and depression contribute to your ability to focus and concentrate. Maybe talk to your doctor about the possibility of an anti-anxiety medication if the anxiety is interfering with your work.

Any quitted big 4 right after a year? I got delayed with good rating but with the reason of not getting enough experiences (I took 3 months study leave). I also got assigned to busy files and for 70% of my file I worked till 10/11. Since WFH starts I completely lost the boundary of work/life and got depressed.
I realized it's not the life I want and I got burned out and cried all the time. During COVID I realize it's hard to find a job... any suggestions? I can't hold on anymore

Sharing my story: I carry an abnormal gene in which me and my wife's first child was affected. We decided with our second child to use IVF. We started our journey in January 2021 and my wife went through 4 IVF cycles using my sperm in a 9 month span (her choice). We decided after the 4th round failed to go a different route and use sperm donation to rid us of the gene. During 2022, she went through 4 rounds of IUI and finally got one that stuck. She is now 14 weeks pregnant and due in April 😊

I am an associate at a small firm and was licensed last fall. I clerked at this firm through law school, so I knew most of the partners before starting as an attorney full time, except some of the new ones we have acquired since. I need one suggestion, I am staying in a PG which is charging me a huge rent but refusing to provide me a rent agreement. My last organization only required me to upload landlord’s Pan and rent receipts to claim for HRA exemption but here in ZS the HR told that we would be required to compulsorily provide rent agreement.

What’s the consensus on tattoos in the insurance workplace? I’m in leadership and considering exploring my options due to recent personnel changes. My therapist just told me I'm depressed..do you ever feel like they tell you things you hear a lot or could have figured out on your own? Like take care of yourself, it's ok to feel such and such, etc. I'm still newer to therapy so wondering if that's the common experience?
