I know no one is exempt from getting laid off or fired. However are there non-technical roles that are more "recession proof" than others?

Any rumours of job cuts at Atlassian with consistent tanking of stock this year?

Asking for honest opinions: many or most of us here have great jobs, a lot of perks, excellent salaries etc. Yet I see so many people complaining that they’re having to work more, or they’re not getting a bonus, or that they miss their perks etc.
I’m aware of special situations (e.g.. parents with small children) but come on - I was laid off in 2017 and it was one of the worst things that happened to me. Show some appreciation that you got to keep your excellent job so far.

As someone with depression, my biggest struggle is with avolition. I've always been extremely lazy to the point where i don't always keep up with personal hygiene even. For those who experience laziness as part of their depression, how are you able to overcome it when working so you don't get fired?

Would you submit a resignation letter(RL) if the employer is requesting one? I used to work in Sales with a Fortune 500 company for 8 years before leaving and starting a new role in IT with a small biz(medical practice). Was fortunate to have the opportunity to 180 my field, but the practice manager is an impulsive leader, which leads to a lot of disorganization. I am remote and they need someone FT. When we spoke about it they gently fired me because I couldn’t go FT, and now want a RL.

@PWC is worst company for freshers. They are force innocents to resign by themselves and threating then to not to mail anyone and not share this context to anyone worst company, if layoff means ok removing and threatening to not to disclose to anyone means the have lost every single moral. Don't fall trap in the brand name @PWC.

Visa Sponsorship UK - Operations, CS, Recruitment

Hey everyone,

I may be relocating to the UK for a role after the new year, but my wife won't be able to come with me initially.

However she's just been laid-off from her Ops Management role for a tech company in the EU and needs a new role quickly. (just before Christmas!)

Would love if anyone has a role in Rome, Italy, or remote, or UK with Visa sponsorship (Tier 2 Skilled Worker) untill I can swap her onto a spouse Visa.

Any referrals?

Netflix

Pros: ?

Cons:
- culture deck is something else: if they think they can do better than you, they will just let you go

- they think they’re the Yankees: if you’re batting.385, but they think there is someone out there who can bat .400, you’re going to get fired

- they will openly discuss at a meeting why you suck

- Reed Hastings' leadership style was once described as being "unencumbered by emotion". A VP once told him he's not a good listener and tends to be unempathetic.

I’m entering all the required fields but there seems to be an issue, when I hit submit after filling the form, it doesn’t submit and throws error ‘Looks like you left this blank! I also want to go for a job that pays more (55k€ currently). I live in Paris, France, and software developers are not well paid.
Any suggestion for a career transition?
