I know people are currently talking about how to go to Cannes next year or how to win, but I want to know how to not participate in it at all, especially when I have an ECD constantly nagging my brains out to come up with proactive ideas to win awards when I don’t want to do anything proactive or activation or awardsy. I genuinely don’t want to but I work in a small agency with not many people and said ECD won’t get off my case and let me just work on regular ol briefs that just pays the bills.

I’m looking at lateral offers from Gunderson and Goodwin (both east coast). I want to focus on VC/EC clients. I know both are well known in the area, but which is better? I know Gunderson is known for more early stage work, but is there a benefit to being at a full service firm like Goodwin when I know that what I’m looking for will be at Gunderson?

I’m a fourth year cap markers US associate in London. Started my career here after law school and looking to lateral back to a firm in the US. Genuinely open to anywhere but have long term prospects of making partner, and conscious that majority of my practice here has been unregistered work. Should I just head back to NY (went to law school there and barred in NY) and gain more SEC registered experience should I be looking for more secondary markets since long term would not want to stay in NY
