Anyone here that’s moved from a HCOL or MCOL city to a LCOL city? In the process of doing that now and can work remotely making the higher base of the bigger city. Seems like it will have a lot of positives. Anyone run into challenges? I could see future salary negotiations in the LCOL city being more difficult if I were to move to a different company.

I had several interviews with Deutsche bank and they have verbally offered the job about 2 months ago. I noticed on Workday Tuesday the status says "offer in progress". In the time between, I did get some calls the offer is still in progress and is slowed down due to manager out of office (among other things). I’m currently working at a law firm in San Diego specializing in coastal property rights as a litigation paralegal and legal assistant. We received a minute order from a preliminary injunction hearing. Our client was ordered to post an injunction bond of $2,500. First our client walked to the courthouse to try to pay the bond up front, but they would not accept his money. He tried to call several bond companies, but all said the amount was too small. So how do you post an injunction bond?

Does anyone have the LegalBoard Keyboard? How do you feel about it? I’m specifically looking to buy it for a partner who’s been practicing for about 20 years, so I’m looking for any input/thoughts on that, I’m concerned she might not bother to learn to use the lawyer features since she’s been practicing so long, or that as a partner she doesn’t do much day to day drafting of legal docs that the features are useful for. Discussing another firm's merger with my own and another partner said, "that firm (the merging firm) was shopped, and that's all I want to say about that." What does "shopped" mean in this context? He obviously didn't want to keep talking about it so I didn't ask in the moment, but not knowing is bugging me. Anyone know?
