I know shit about life insurance sales, so I have a question for people that do it more often...what is a realistic target in first year premiums for a newly licensed insurance rep?

Thanks fellas. I appreciate the insight.

Realistic target would be about 100k in first year premium and that would equate to between 50k-60k in commissions.

Need some advice! Should we update our wedding start time to 4pm so we can have our after party 10pm-1am instead of 5pm wedding start and 11pm-1am after party? We sent wedding invites with a 5pm start time because we have 6hrs at the venue and the bar around the corner said the after party had to be 11pm-1am. Now bar said thee after party can start at 10pm. We can realistically contact all who RSVPd yes to let them know AND a 4pm start time means we still have daylight (it’s a winter wedding).

What's the most effective way for a small RIA to recruit FAs who have a few years experience, want to break away from large/corporate firms? I'm a $70M fee-only (commissions for insurance) independent RIA with a generous comp schedule that enables FAs to own their own book while they grow. As the owner, my focus is to help FAs succeed; as a firm, our focus is on client service and helping them succeed. I can afford a small salary, but not benefits. I'm especially interested in female FAs.
