I know this is subjective but is it realistic to switch from FDD in the US to private equity in the UK? I know it’s very difficult in the US

My experience of working in US in Big 4 Strategy has been that non desi people just dont want to get into the detail of things. Things like business case or understanding of client data are skilsets that they cant or wont learn. All they want to do is PMO - manage actions, make TO dos and speak without context on client meets. Dont want to be biased by mu own exp. How has been yours ?

Been working in Big 4 FDD for a little under two years, interviewing past 2-3 months for FDD, strategy, and IB. Received an offer from a MM FDD group for a 25% pay bump, but mainly looking to pivot out as I’ve burned out of FDD and want to move into a more finance focused role. Currently moved into second rounds at a senior strategy role for a F500 and case study stage for two boutique IB’s.

Would it be dumb to turn down the guaranteed FDD role and see how the others turn out?

A recruiter sent my resume to A&M and they ignored them. I have 3 years FDD experience at a top national firm and am a CPA. The recruiters feedback to me was that they really prefer people with Big 4 experience. Should I reach out to one of A&M's recruiters directly? 2 of them added me on linkedin in the last few months. Also considering doing a stint at Big 4 for the resume boost.

This was supposed to be the first year EY implemented a firm-wide mid-year bonus which would have been paid in January. Curious if other firms have a mid year bonus (based on their fiscal year) and if so, what have the amounts been historically? Select high performers with high utilization will still receive a little something this year similar to prior years (only ~$5k-10k tho).

I hope our firm is careful in deciding comp in the next 2 weeks. It’s too easy to double one’s comp and turn to investment banking.
