English is my second language. I learned it 8 years ago and I have been living in the US for the past 5 years. I communicate very well, but sometimes I feel so bad when I don’t, or when I forget an English word in the middle of a design presentation 😣… Sometimes I wake up and my English is not good that day, for realz.
Any other designers who struggle with this? What do you do to feel or do better besides working on your presentation skills?

Pros: Large team with defined upward mobility, industry leader, amazing culture
Cons: requires relocation

2. Fortune 500 tech. Senior Manager Sales Strat for a new BU. Base: $200K. Bonus: 15%. RSU: 2500 shares that vest over 4 yrs (@ current stock price ~$150k)

Pros: work remote, 🤑
Cons: struggling business, long hours, lean team, grinding culture

Anyone get nervous before speaking in front of a group of people? I feel super embarrassed because sometimes when I’m super nervous my voice cracks and I’m worried other people can tell. Any strategies to fight this?

Other than salary, what’s so good about investment banking? I just don’t get it.

Just got an offer with 25% increase in base comp (plus 10% of my base in equity). It’s a pretty unglamorous industry, but a good role (high visibly) and nice team. Do I bite? Or hold out and continue looking? Main concern is that it’s not in an industry I care much for. 5YOE T2 if that makes a difference.
