For Nov 2022 I am on track to bill 170 hours after today, with an additional 100 non-billable, which includes a bunch of various DEI commitments. I'm in a group where I get great reviews each year and earn praise from clients, but partners don't invest much in me or let me work on the "good" deals (I always get the scraps). I'm also the only black attorney in my group, which may or may not be relevant. I doubt I have a chance of making equity partner, though I also don't want to. If you were me, would you go to a competitor just to stick it to people here? Or mail it in, shoot for a NEP/counsel-type gig, collect paychecks, and coast?

Advice regarding following up multiple times with lead partner about a position in his practice group? I have been in contact with the firms recruiting director as well as 4 of the firms partners. The lead partner and I were supposed to connect a few weeks back but we were never able to. My issue is that I've already essentially followed up twice. Am I overthinking it now that a few weeks have passed or
should I contact recruiting or another partner to help facilitate things?
