I know this might've been asked before but given the current climate and post covid world, should I give more than two weeks notice? I don't want to leave my team hanging and I have a pretty good relationship with my project team...

Would your work try and keep you as long as they could if things turned south? For covid, did they lay people off? If the company would drop you in a minute then you owe them nothing. If they’d protect you, then I like to return the favor and be kind with notice as much as the new job would allow

When covid happened, they were ruthless. You are right...thanks for the pep talk

Let's say you give 4 weeks notice instead of 2. Will you be upset if your company walks you out sooner (say, after 2 weeks) and you lose out on 2 weeks of pay and maybe a month of benefits? If no, then sure, give more notice. If you would be upset, then give 2 weeks. Senior leadership is very aware of attrition, and if they chose their hiring and retention efforts to optimize profit, then lack of backfill for your project is senior leadership's fault, not yours.

These are good points, I guess it depends on when my start date is with the new company, though health insurance benefits is a consideration

I work 8+ hour shifts in the office as we are an essential business where masks are required at all times. Has anyone else had the experience of wearing a good mask at work and getting excruciating headaches at work that last for a few hours after work? I've already had an isolation period so it's not Covid, but I'm thinking it might be the higher levels of carbon monoxide, as I've tried wearing a different mask and did not have the same problem.
