Has anyone here ever considered/is considering med school after working in consulting? just wondering what the transition process was like. I am trained in life sciences and decided to try consulting postgrad to try something completely new. Lately I’ve realized I’m not super interested however and don’t see myself in consulting long term. I’d love to be on the ground treating people or shaping health policy later on.

I have 20k in HYSA and 7K in stock brokerage. I am looking to buy an investment property in the next year or two but need around 50K for a down payment. I want to direct 20k yearly into my 401k for tax benefits, but is it smarter to keep it in an HYSA to use it for the rental? Can I liquidate the 401 to buy a rental or are there hidden fees/taxes?
