I know we are living in the COVID Era and things may be different but as a self-taught designer that’s been employed for the last 8 years here in the city, I’d like to be able to make myself attractive to the advertising world.

I usually operate on the fringes of the design community and I don’t know all the cool kids (outside of interning at 3st).

What can I do besides have a great portfolio?

Currently working as tech support (BPO setting). Deficating nay next 5 yrs to get my end goal to be on cloud computing. Will be studying materials to get certified and experience along the way.

Is it possible to switch from consulting to ibanking with a STEM background while on H1B? Or does USCIS care that your education and background fits perfectly into the little description? Mid level Electrical Engineer in the greater Baltimore, MD area making $115k base w/ $20k sign on bonus. No yearly bonus. I started this job in April of this year. 2-3 years experience. When I onboarded they told me to expect promotion to EE III in about a year.
