I know we aren’t doing vacationing anymore, but did you guys ever dread doing a family trip? Like the vacation itself becomes stressful?

Yes, took 3 in the past 5 years. 1st one was stressful but great, we went to Hawaii 😁. The other 2 😒

When the kids were little yes, but then they became better travelers. I also outsourced the planning, which I realized was most of what I found stressful.

We distinguish between “trips” and “vacations.” Anything for work or with family is a trip.

I’m unable to focus on work and I keep dropping the ball on some projects. Hey could use some honest opinions on this because I’m still in shock. I was preparing to give in my resignation + 2 weeks from EY on Monday to jump ship to Deloitte. I accepted the offer from Deloitte on Friday, and I just got hit with a bomb today that my brother has cancer and we have no idea what stage it’s at. Should I just rescind my acceptance from Deloitte? I don’t know how it would be taken if I start at a new firm and immediately need substantial flexibility and time off.

Which project management tools would you recommend to keep track of multiple different work streams and action items across 8-10 ongoing projects? I don’t want to use this collaboratively with other stakeholders but mainly for me to track as the PM. Are there any tools except “Planner” that can be used with MS Teams? Thank you @

Hello! I see a ton of questions in here about interviewing and getting hired as a PM. I also know that it’s really hard as a manager to hire a great team. I’m the head of product at a growing startup, and just hired two PMs in 3 months. One a career switcher who’d never been a PM before, and one a seasoned principal PM. Whether you are someone who’s interviewing or someone who’s hiring right now, ask me anything!
