I know you’re rolling your eyes. But how accurate is this?

According to these imperceptive definitions, I'm working for a tier-6 or even tier-7 firm and adding "low" value 🤦 I'm not gonna brag about my work, but while many of so-called top tier consultants continously complain spending their time customizing/fixing slides, not having meaning in their jobs, my team is delivering real work from the ground up, solving real problems and thus helping people, and keep our customers coming back for different projects. My point is the world is not as small as your (or whoever created this) knowledge or perception base.

Yo SC2 this is dope work, can you possibly share a bit more about where you’re at / how you got into that line of work?

When you guys defer to Big4 + Accenture are you always referring to their strategy capabilities?
As I used to work for Capgemini (not strategy) in the UK and the stuff we worked on loads of projects and programmes alongside Big4 + Accenture. So I dont really get the comparison that often gets made saying Capgemini and similar consultancies provide low value work when they are delivering much the same as the Big4.

Yeah, that sale ended up being a great deal for the partners at EY 😂

Reminds me of GreekRank brah

Why are all Delts are so short

likefunny

Not accurate, Accenture isn’t split into two anymore LOL and ranks don’t matter, I’d rather get paid high and enjoy work + life in a no name firm than to get paid 🥜 working for a famous company just for the title

likesmart

Not salty. Just accepting strategy’s fate for when Julie knocks down the wall like the Night King

No one cares

Didn’t know there are so many other consulting firms out there

I'm rolling my eyes so hard I can see my brain

stop posting this please, you know you're gonna start a debate. it's a job, live your life, do what works for you.

likefunnyuplifting

I guess "living your life" also includes exercising your free will to switch and do something else or looking out for opportunities elsewhere where the grass appears greener.

Is this so you can tell your Mom? Judging by the singles bowl, none of you can get laid so girls aren’t impressed, I’m just trying to why the obsession with comparisons and rankings all the time.

Because whipping it out and measuring is more fun than responding to a pls fix, I suppose.

McKinsey is tier 2

Why is Tri Delta not top tier??? They always mix w Pike...

I would maybe pull Slalom up a level.

SC4, what are average raises like in your market?

Deloitte should be in Tier1 for sure!

Literally no know cares about this except consultants who think they are more important than they are

Isn’t this the right place to post this then!!?

This is dumb, everyone knows Deloitte is the D in DMBB

I always thought OW should be in it to make BOMB. But this is even better.

likefunny

Lol this reminds me of being two years out of undergrad when all you knew was to look for prestige.

like

Then after 2 years you realize no ones cares who the Big 4 are 😀. If they are familiar with them, they ask us if we’re auditors...

funnylike

I think rather thank ranking on “prestige” y’all should focus on money.

Low lol

ZSers pumping their fists in the air rn 😂

likefunny

Nah fam. We’re up there with MBB. It should be MBBZS 😂😂😂😂

I actually cant really argue with this except Deloitte M&A is right next to S&A. Customer strategy is good too in C&M - most of the Monitor partners are in S&A though.

likesmart

D2 aside from just saying trust me, you can see it to some extent in our cost model. There are 8 offerings that are legacy S&O and have higher cost rates. However it only matters once you get to M and above. Don’t worry about it as a BA unless you plan on staying long term.

Agreed

Bain is barely tier 1

Bain is the best firm in consulting for PE

Is it inappropriate to apply directly to a firm after applying through a recruiter and being told by that recruiter that the firm declined to interview you? I’ve heard stories of recruiters lying about firm interest in order to push certain candidates over others (presumably to save themselves some work). I don’t want to annoy the firm by applying again but I don’t see too much downside here outside of maybe some fee dispute between firm and recruiter if they ended up hiring me.

I am currently working on getting my bachelor's degree in business analytics w/ a minor in computer science. I want to eventually become a data scientist but I am unsure of the required YOE, if any, or how hard it is to land that type of job. I am also concerned that I don't have relevant any relevant experience to jump right into the industry. How high of a hurdle is it from business analytics to data science? Any advice for an aspiring data scientist on how to move forward after my bachelors?
