Which other big 4 is similar to Deloitte?
Hello all. Have interview scheduled, wanted to know more about Capgemini culture, please help
1. How much hikes are offered in Capgemini on an annual basis to employees?
2. How is work life balance as compared to other service organizations?
3. What is the firing history of the company? Do they have any PIP like Accenture?
Has anyone else in NY had an offer delayed? I was told by my EY recruiter that it would take some time to receive the verbal and written offer due to a new background check for NYC residents; I was told unofficially that the team liked me and wanted to move forward and we discussed comp and start date. I’m a little concerned something else is going on and my offer will go to someone else. Am I worrying too much? Thanks! EY

Do any firms recognize today as a holiday?
Hey fish fam, I have an SO who is a special education teacher trying to get out of the classroom but not having any luck. I really want to help her out because I know that she loves teaching, but it is making her miserable. Anyone know of specific consulting firms or Ed tech companies that are hiring educators? Bonus points if you know if any specific job openings that you could point me to. Thanks in advance for the help! Deloitte EY Pearson Mcgraw-Hill Education

According to these imperceptive definitions, I'm working for a tier-6 or even tier-7 firm and adding "low" value 🤦 I'm not gonna brag about my work, but while many of so-called top tier consultants continously complain spending their time customizing/fixing slides, not having meaning in their jobs, my team is delivering real work from the ground up, solving real problems and thus helping people, and keep our customers coming back for different projects. My point is the world is not as small as your (or whoever created this) knowledge or perception base.
Yo SC2 this is dope work, can you possibly share a bit more about where you’re at / how you got into that line of work?
When you guys defer to Big4 + Accenture are you always referring to their strategy capabilities?
As I used to work for Capgemini (not strategy) in the UK and the stuff we worked on loads of projects and programmes alongside Big4 + Accenture. So I dont really get the comparison that often gets made saying Capgemini and similar consultancies provide low value work when they are delivering much the same as the Big4.

Yeah, that sale ended up being a great deal for the partners at EY 😂
It's an accurate ranking of firms by prestige.
As you can tell from the comments, some people don't think prestige is a very important factor- there are certainly other things to consider (salary, culture, work-life balance, etc etc) That's fair, it's just not what this list is about.
Capco is tier 6? Based on their comments they definitely feel like 16! I mean not tier 16, more like how I sounded when I was 16.
This question - or variants of it - seem to come up on a daily basis. I have lived and worked across the world and have literally never met a group as obsessed with relative status as early career American consultants.
True dat.
Is deloitte really higher than rest of the big 4?
Chief
You'll note that only "Deloitte S&A" is listed in tier 2. The rest of Deloitte is meant to be part of tier 3
Deloitte > Harvard : Tier 0
I get that these things are stupid and annoying... but as someone who made an early career change and hopped up a couple tiers, I can tell you with certainty that my pay and exit opportunities are incredibly better from a “tier 2”
Accurate
.
Is this Tiering based on Civilian Kill Count?
That’s cold SC3
Seems like there's something missing... 😁

In reality it's MBB in T1, the T2 firms listed above and Big 4 in T2, and everyone else is T3.
I this this is accurate
There are garbage people everywhere and top performers everywhere. I understand that this is the mean, but don’t let it govern your decision-making. I currently work for a lower tier firm because they paid me a ton to join and give me absolutely incredible work that would rival MBB. If I’d stayed at my other firm, I would have seen the same pay, career progression, or quality of work. Challenge is that you may be comparably stronger, but hiring managers absolutely bias the above.
Speaking of tiers, only the top two tiers recruit at my M7 MBA school.
Tier 0: Goldman Sachs. Those who don't make it to GS, go to MBB.
