I like seeing others succeed.. but I can’t take people posting on LinkedIn that they “are pleased to announce” their new internship. Like they just signed with a SEC football team as a 5 star recruit.

I don’t mind the internship posts, to them, it’s a big deal and it’s refreshing to see young blood excited. What I do mind is people using LinkedlNn like Facebook, posting personal pictures, making unprofessional posts etc.

Thanks TIAA 1! Yeah that is insane.. I would never think to do that

Sure some can come off as cringey, but you have to remember they’re not a jaded professional like yourself yet. Let them do their thing and be happy while they’re still young and ignorant, it has no bearing on your life.

After a difficult year and many many months of hoping for this day, I am beyond humbled to announce that I was selected by my peers to be the zoom host of the next weekly team meeting. To all the people who encouraged me, listened to me, or even just were there for me, THANK YOU. You know who you are. I can’t wait to find out what this next adventure will bring.

Spot on! 😂😂

Ask yourself "Does this negatively affect me in any way shape or form?" I get it. It's seems silly, but it actually doesn't matter to you at all. If you don't care about it, keep scrolling.

I’m strolling over to IG right now 😂

I’m pretty sure employers push them to do that for good PR. I know my firm does. I sit back and think to myself ‘if only you knew what you’re signing up for.’

The lower level you are the more socially acceptable it is in my mind. But for someone at a higher level like CD, it comes off braggart and tone deaf in an economy like this

Also, while they are connected with you and potentially a few other professionals they’ve somehow managed to network with, the vast majority of their existing networks are probably classmates, former internship classmates, family, etc that actually would be interested in hearing about it

Should I go through the process with strat consulting firms or directly look into stratops?

Should I switch or learn the language and stay here for another year? It's a small firm and the pay is not that great but good for beginners in the country. Any advice?
