I like what jack did at Twitter banning trump and removing his tweets but do you think this is good for TWTR stock and shareholders? Suspect stock will open down on Monday.

Where was jack when people were wanting to “burn the whole thing down” last summer? Twitter is just adding to the narrative of big tech vs. conservatives. This might be a good thing right now, but it’s causing more problems to fester in the long run.

Your equivalancies - so completely false and distorted. Have you been in a coma the past four years? Yes, truly the issue has been CNN on air personalitys dividing this country and promoting non factual counter narratives and conspiracy theories. That's what has led us to this point. Please take your galaxy brain and go forth and enlighten us. I"m in awe.

Big tech is trying to get on the right side of the incoming admin because they know monopoly busting is on the horizon. If anyone thinks they are doing this because "now" they care about dangers to democracy in the USA? C'mon.

Maybe a little panic selling. I don't suspect a repeal of 230 will actually happen tho. My bigger concern is crazy valuations, but that's more of a broader market concern.

I left a great team and high-visibility, high impact project with a client that loved me for a few more $$.

Had I stayed, I would have been festering on comp and constantly worried about my financial future.
Since I've left, I feel financially secure but listless and bored with a lame team on what I've discovered is a skeezy upsell.

Anyone else had to deal with this? Did you boomerang back?

I'm a noob with bonds, can someone break down ibonds for me in idiot proof language?

Per what I'm reading the interest rate is 9.62% if I buy through Oct 2022. It's a 30 year investment, but I can withdraw after 5 years without 3 month penalty.

Questions:
(1) Is the interest rate fixed or variable over the term of the bond?
(2) Assuming 9.62% is annual return but definitely want to confirm 🤣
(3) Do most people actually keep it in 30 years? I'm looking at 5 years for now and re-assess

My federal student loans currently have a ~4.5% interest rate. I have a lump sum that could take a significant portion out, but I’m leaning towards investing in VTI instead to outperform the interest rate.

I was planning to buy a home next year, but now I expect to renew my lease once it expires. If so, I wouldn't be buying a home for at least 2 years from now.

Guessing I should still leave the down payment in a HYSA (getting 3% right now)? Sucks to miss out on market returns, but I understand that conventional wisdom is not to invest money you'll need in the short term (within 3ish years). I'm definitely tempted to put a portion of that in VTI though...
