I live in Alberta and work in insurance as a service broker at hub customer central insurance. I have been in insurance for 3 years and am doing their paid training.
What do you think the minimum amount of time you should be at a job before you leave ? I was thinking 8 months to a year roughly minimum
Also what are you getting paid right now as a broker? If you live in Canada I would love to know! And if you could note your experiences and certifications that would be amazing! Very curious

I think a year if you can wait it out.

Normally 2 years minimum between companies or you look like a job hopper. One short tenure in a resume can be easily explained but multiple is harder.

I make CA$52k. I'd suggest waiting until at least the 1 year mark before bouncing. Otherwise you could be seen as a flight risk for potential employers, and there's already enough turnover as it is.

I always try to stay a year. Unless something way better comes along its usually been pretty doable. I just think it looks better.

Glassdoor is a great resource for salary ranges and medians by company and city. Do bear in mind that the data points do not adjust for factors like year of salary, years of experience, etc.

Would anyone please clarify this query.

Hi creatives! I need your help here. A quick background:

Junior copywriter based in Toronto here. Came to Canada about a year ago and did an internship at Klick Health.

Once it ended in late August, they didn't take on ANY intern full time. Been job searching for the past 3 months. Would really appreciate any leads/insight on some entry level gig or internship that might be available in this city. I know it's year end and it's hard, but I am still hopeful as I have seen people still get hired.

Hello! I have been working in research and policy for the last 3.5 years. Very keen and interested to make the shift to healthcare consulting - I interviewed with OW but didn’t pass the final round. I also interviewed with Deloitte, and cleared all the rounds, but at the end, they said they didn’t have any openings. If anyone has any leads for other firms, referrals, general advice, would really appreciate the help - thank you so much

So my company after weeks of 12hr days putting together multiple proposals for new benefits decided to slash benefits to $300/per employee/family across medical-dental-vision. We are in the tech industry as a startup trying to recruit talent and I advised against it. Turnover is 140% for 2022. After this choice any health insurance is too expensive and I only make $90k (2nd lowest paid) so looking to leave ASAP. Any suggestions or referrals? Hi did anyone recently join Morgan Stanley . I heard that after joining we need to transfer a demat account. Can anyone help with this . I just read about this in some comments no info from hr side.

30F and I’m currently living with my parents but hoping to move out soon. My parents are 65 and 70, retired, and are continuously fighting. If they’re not fighting they’re not talking to each other. And if they’re not talking to each other, they both only talk to me and it’s really difficult for me to act like nothing’s wrong. Anyone gone through this? I’m going crazy witnessing this. I wish they had gotten divorced.
