Should I exit to a non-profit (area I’m super passionate about) or is growth (comp, title) more important early in careers? I’m ~1.5 YOE
MD or MBA? I got into both. I know most will say choose the MD, but hear me out: MD: I'd have to go into a specialty to have a good IRR given my salary & the $200K+ debt. By the time I'd be done with residency the US may be in a single payer system. US doctors make 3x the amount in France and 2x vs UK.. I currently make what a doctor makes in France. That could be the future here, too. MBA: 1 yr. Europe. I'd make about 15-20% more vs. now.
I accepted a huge promotional offer to a manager role in industry. So I am leaving big4 as a senior. My background check just came through and somehow they have my big4 salary listed, even though I’m 99% sure I checked the box they couldn’t contact my employer. Could the company take back my offer for something lower?
Got an exit finally and need some advice. Current comp at 165K in Chicago. Option 1 : 200k remote anywhere from the US or Option 2: 240k in LA. Which would you choose ?

For those whose firms sponsor H1B at the analyst level - how common is this? My firm says they don’t do it until the MBA level because of “prevailing wage” issues, but the analyst comp differences aren’t that different that I know of. Appreciate any insights on this!

In all honesty, I understand people are leaving Big 4 right now because they have decent exit ops or better WLB ops, but what about people working at small/boutique firms making $100-105k as a SC/M? Is it worth it to join a Big 4 if you can potentially get a 20-30% pay increase, i.e. is the increase in salary worth the headache and travel?Deloitte Accenture PwC EY

Partner comp in management consulting: want to understand the difference in base vs bonus and the ramp up time. E.g.: at legacy EY-Parthenon a first year partner should expect ~500k base with a very small bonus. The compensation is guaranteed the first year (not subject to performance), and gets adjusted annually based on revenue figures. By 5th year partners are expected to get close to ~1m. Please reply for your firms!

Any good recommended books on how to build a scalable product and team? I'm looking for recommendations for two areas: 1) in general laying the groundwork in a startup to have the tools and especially processes in place to scale, and 2) tactical focus on building a SaaS project. I've been promoted into a management role from Dev roots, so need to learn more PM processes to be an effective manager in day job, plus would like to start building my own SaaS solution.
