I live in SF. If I work on a project in Texas, will I benefit from the 0% state income tax?

Nope. You are taxed where your residence is

like

Your only benefit is you don’t have to file in another state.

like

You have to report which state you’re working in and will be taxed by their statutes

You won’t have to file taxes in Texas so makes your life easier

File in Texas...

@director, I'm pretty sure that's tax evasion

No benefit

Nope. Been there done that. Cali loves (and needs) their pound of flesh. Get a good accountant.

Second A2. It’s not at all uncommon for the state of primary residence to take whatever is left over after you pay taxes to the state where you work.

Hey everyone, moral issue here. My older brother is struggling with money and his mental health. I’m not so good with the mental health stuff but I do have a Robinhood account that has ~5k in it that I could give him to help him feel more comfortable. I make a tc of about 100k at 25 and he makes 50k working 2 jobs at 32. I can make that 5k back later in life, it would mean more to help him now when he needs it. Thoughts? All comments welcome. NOTE: I did help him find a therapist.

I switched in hopes that will learn the new tech and tools. But now i am starting to forget even the one i knew. Should i go for change or wait a little more time as fractal is reputed in AI/ML? I have interview lined up with Impetus as for now. Would it be better choice?

Hey all I have an opportunity to buy a vacation home as a private sale from my parents (they are buying a new house in that area and need to sell the old one), it is waterfront property in NH 10 minutes from Mt Sunappee. I am concerned that making this purchase may make me a little cash poor in the short term, but still manageable. Would it make more sense to rent out the property through a rental company that included insurance and cleaning or to put it on airbnb?

So my bipolar dad got declined for a mortgage because disability gets shut off in < 3 years when he turns 65. So now he wants me to co-sign for him. Between housing markets being up, my concerns over his money mgmt, and concerns over tying up my credit there’s no way I can say yes. He sold his house before being approved for the new one he put in for (against my advice). I know he won’t understand and will take this personally, and the family will probably take his side. Gonna be a long week…

I am a beginner DA user and trying to gain experience. I am trying to do a project on ESG for fun, and having some difficulty coming up with a hypothesis. Want to pick your brains and see if I can get started. I have data about CO2 emisiones, electricity usage, air quality, and that’s pretty much it. Using alteryx and powerbi (to visualize results) as I don’t have any other programs. Thanks so much!
