United makes more sense in your case
Gonna be impossible to be loyal to delta at EWR. you would need to use LGA or JFK a lot more for that

Stay with United 100%. United points program is still good.
There’s a lot better star alliance points you could transfer to from chase or Amex that will give you cheaper United/star alliance fights. Turkish for domestic. Ana, aeroplan, and life miles for premium cabins. All have way better redemption rates than United points
Delta points are worth 40% less than United’s per TPG. Stick with UA in EWR and don’t put yourself through the pain of trying to fly Delta.

Delta sky miles are worth less for redemption. But delta service is much better than United particularly in economy .
Assuming you are flying business anyways internationally, United is best given EWR is their hub and potential for redemption options.
