If I'm not at my desk, it's not working hours. And if it's not working hours and you're sending an email, you're gonna have to wait. There's more important things in life than being available 24/7 for an employer that (with all due respect) wouldn't blink if you died tomorrow.
This. Do not be a slave to your job - it's not worth it.
I took my work email off of my phone altogether. 😎
This is me! If it’s important book my calendar or call. Otherwise I’ll get to it when I get to it
I’ve legit never had work email on my phone.
Teams sucks because you cannot have two accounts open at the same time (I use both ACN calendar and client calendar)
I don’t have work email on my phone. I literally have to go to email.accenture.com to check it.
I do have Teams, but that’s more for responding if I’m running an errand or getting a late lunch during the workday.
If people need me, they have my cell phone. If they don’t have my cell phone, then they shouldn’t need me in the first place.
Same!
I was once on a study with the leadership in Europe while I was at the client in the US. The emails would start at 3:00am and I’d respond right away - after a few weeks the AP told me I wasn’t taking care of myself and literally asked me to turn notifications off - sound and bubbles. That was amazing and I never turned it back on. That study was 6 years ago - I might’ve missed an email here or there but I’ll take that over the anxiety of seeing those emails when I’m with my kids, eating dinner or trying to work out.
That was an amazing boss you had. It’s great that they were looking out for you like that.
I removed sounds and bubbles a long time ago. It’s my phone so the email is there for my convenience; so I can stay connected if I choose to work off-schedule or am away from my desk during business hours.
Rising Star
I have my whole phone in silent, always.
This. 👍🏼
Sound? Or bubbles as well? Bubbles would be a bold move... I may actually do that now.
Rising Star
Both. No notifications at all
I have my sound off only bubbles. After hours & weekend I try hard not to check emails even if there are bubbles.
If it’s after hours and you need me, you will probably call/text me.

I have my work email and calendar on my phone so I get my calendar notifications but all email notifications are turned off. It's good toilet reading otherwise leave me alone work email. 🚽📥
