I’d have to charge for my full advice, but I can tell you what a logo should do.
It should convey the brand personality.
It should feel like its product category.
It should be easily recognized amongst competitors.
It should feel like its price point, or better.

Hello, something seems a little off with the line weights. They’re not consistent. Did you trace over the original type? Maybe you could find an elegant and modern typeface that’s free for commercial use and can alter the serifs if needed. Almost there, keep going!
This reminds me of olay
i think this is better than the previous! but i think “haircare” should just be in one typeface. the a in Opal being a different one is already enough.
I altered the typography a bit to make the edges softer.
Depends on the full look and feel, but I wouldn't feel comfortable presenting this. Typography feels completely disjointed, unless you're whole design systems fits in with this I would re-work it
If you’re finding yourself getting frustrated/in a box with the design you’re working with - try starting again by pulling a lot of reference for things you like and start making moodboards first & sketching rough ideas. Maybe you keep the type simple and have a texture/pattern that speaks to Opal. Maybe the type is the only thing in the packaging and it’s 2 colours. Maybe the type makes a shape. Coming at it from lots of angles might be the breath of fresh air you need. I think many of us here would be happy to give you feedback on sketches!
Ok then I’ll do that! I’m just in a bit of a rut atm since I’m trying to get hired for a graphic design position…
Now take this and make a few social ad layouts or a product label or whatever direction you want to be working in. Logos are a small % of the work out there. Also, if there is an existing brand you love, create spec work for that brand. It's good practice and you don't have to invent the whole brand yourself. Then you will have two products in your book, the one you are making here and one people already recognize.
Sure. Have fun with it! Improve your process as you go.
