Doing what? If that's from holding indexes, that means you hold millions so you'll be fine in the long run.

If it's something like options, ARKK, or Netflix, then my condolences.

what did you invest in?

makes me feel better. I lost 20k

Depends on what your starting point was. 300k could be really bad or just a small blip

I haven’t lost anything, but my net worth is down by the same amount since January.

Shit happens. It will bounce back at some point, and you’ll be fine.

My investment accts (401k, IRA, brokerage) are down $600k (-22%) since Nov highs…

📈📉

Deloitte folks - I moved to DT Canada last year due to not getting picked in H1. However US made it clear they will apply again (if and when I ask). Planning to have this conversation with PPMD mid Jan. Does anyone know if there a cut off imposed by Seyfarth after which they won’t consider candidate for FY22 lottery? I know they typically ask for info in Jan which is why I was planning to raise this again now. Just want to make sure I don’t miss the FY22 H1 attempt. TIA!

Any advice on how to spend less money? I have Mint and know the basics of personal finance but have found it hard to adhere to a budget. Decent income for a recent grad and no crazy debt, but money seems to go so fast.

I allocate enough to meet the 401k match, but have had a hard time building a savings.

Any advice appreciated!

I'm a noob with bonds, can someone break down ibonds for me in idiot proof language?

Per what I'm reading the interest rate is 9.62% if I buy through Oct 2022. It's a 30 year investment, but I can withdraw after 5 years without 3 month penalty.

Questions:
(1) Is the interest rate fixed or variable over the term of the bond?
(2) Assuming 9.62% is annual return but definitely want to confirm 🤣
(3) Do most people actually keep it in 30 years? I'm looking at 5 years for now and re-assess
