It would also be helpful to provide insight on travel policy - first class in which flights, always 5-star hotels? Etc.

Sorting Hat: Hmm.. curious, very curious.. OP doesn't have the ruler out.. so, probably.. Accenture!
Sorry SA1 that really sucks :( for me I feel like the local office is very cliquish and fratty and it's hard for me to break into that because I'm more quiet and laid back. More of a listener than a talker but I guess that can rub some people the wrong way? Like I said not sure if it's a firm culture thing or if I'd find this issue at any company
Habe you considered Deloitte?
Welcome to my world. I call myself the Erin Brockovich of the office, because nothing is more accurate than that reference. It SUCKS
SA1 once you spend more time with the firm you will start to learn and love the culture. Consulting is awesome and consultants in general are great people to be around.
Not when the whole team hates you. Had a bad year due to being assigned to jobs outside of background. I feel SO hated..its awful
feel hated? How do you not see it as, simply contributing to the firm as needed? It's a family. A family out to make tons of money, but a family nonetheless.
Not at Deloitte OP. We are all about inclusiveness.
I feel this same way mostly with my peers. I feel like it's because I don't drink or party
OP ugh that sucks. I hope things get better for you. Im honestly so happy im on client site. I would be so depressed if i was at home office
I had a hard time fitting in with the super PC ultra conservative (not meaning politically conservative, just in general) people in my practice at my old local office but got along fine with project teams from other regions. Changed market, much better fit locally.
Work remotely.
^ if only it was that easy. Career success is strongly dependent on networking with the local partners and SMs
Omg. Who cares. Another year or two you 1) won't ever go to office or 2) quit the firm
OP which office/group? Find both has a huge impact.
