Newton have always had quotas on number of grads making probation (which itself is ridiculous), but seems to be getting even worse with the recession coming. Beware before you accept a grad offer, but as many as 30-40% seem to have been cut by ‘failing probation’ from some cohorts Newton Europe Limited

Start looking for other jobs. Get an offer. Present that offer to your boss and say something like “I got this offer but I’m going to turn it down because I love this agency and feel I have a future here. That said, what steps should I take here to achieve a salary that matches my value.”
If you get support, stay. If you don’t, that’s not a place you should be investing your time.
Just ask. They worst that happens is they say no. No one is going to hold it against you if you ask for more money. It’s standard biz practice.
Just ask. Coming in with other offers could piss certain people off.
It’s more of a power move that you can do if you’re actually prepared to walk away. But it seems you don’t want to work anywhere else.
I’ve had my ECD say, “if someone wants to make extra money, that’s fine I wish they’d just ask.” Another ECD has thanked a friend for asking WITHOUT bringing in a counter offer. No one wants to feel strong-armed. They want to give you extra payment as a reward for good work and feel like it was their choice to do it
