I love patient care and have over 20 years experience and extra certifications, but I’m wondering if it’s time to switch to non clinical work or PRN at various places to get paid more since I’m topped out. Anyone make a big change in their PT career. I’d love to hear.

Recently switched from full time clinical care (Geriatric Certified specialist doing Part B in the home) to clinical liaison for home health. Pay is in line with clinical but opportunity for bonus and advancement. Also able to work remotely which is a huge plus with gas at its current prices and while their is documentation involved I’m done at the end of the day and not spending nights/weekend catching up. So glad I made the switch!

Also 11 yrs clinical experience plus 2.5 yrs Ops management before making the switch.

Capped out PT in Illinois out patient orthopedics. Making a pretty decent salary but burned out with patient care.
Anyone have a suggestion of remote positions that would pay over $100k

Same and looking for similar—non clinical role paying over 100k

25 yrs plus topped out , outpatient ortho Illinois, following this looking for some change

In January I'll start as a freelance physical therapist at a a practice in the Hague, Netherlands.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hello! I will have my first interview as a PTA soon! What are some of the most common questions? Any tips/advice?

I have a friend who I went to school with and trained with, who I thought was a really thoughtful person and physical therapist. All of a sudden over the last like 3-4 months she's become an "influencer" if you can call it that, for PT. She's constantly posting things like, "low back pain? do these 4 moves every night to get rid of it." It's irresponsible IMO, like the PT version of flat tummy tea or gummies that make you lose weight.

Hey all. My advice for fellow “new grads” I’m 2 years out. But my advice is to try and jump into travel PTA or PT with an agency. My take home has been 1.4K - 1.7k weekly working in SNF mostly. But i don’t feel burnt out and I feel like im in control of my career. Also it’s good for networking around the country.

This may sound petty but I really wish people would understand that physical therapy is an actual doctoral science and not on the same level as massage therapy or whatever else. Just heard a friend say their personal trainer is also a physical therapist and it pissed me off! I didn't go through 7 years of school so people would think I was on the same level as a spa attendant basically. AITA?
