I love that companies are continually exploring ERGs that help support so many different individuals. However, there's one demographic that I haven't seen explicitly represented:

Men.

According to recent data, men are increasingly dropping out of work during their prime years, overdosing, drinking themselves to death, and generally dying earlier, including by suicide. And, that's just a few stats.

How do people feel about ERGs specifically for men? Why should/n't they exist?

Hi everyone, I need help evaluate an offer for senior data scientist at a mid size corporate in SF (mainly focus on statistical modeling and data analysis, no MLE related tasks):
$175K base + 300K RSU, no bonus, fully remote. I’m currently working at a unicorn with $115K base + stock options (best case scenario if stock price increase 11x I’d get around $300K out of it before tax) + 15% annual bonus, in office 2-3 times a week.

Got an offer from a growing tech start up, base salary got reduced but bonus and stock options (300 units over 4 years) are amazing. The company is aiming for IPO next year. What're your thoughts on reduced base?

working as a network tech for an ISP for a year now, no prior tech exp but prior professional/management exp. Goal: coding exp by eoy yr2

I applied for and was offered a IT team position at a resort which pays 20% more and involves more diverse skills, networking, some sysadmin, potential .net development exp and scripting.

Current employer offers 21% raise and 30% coding duties. Dept head cannot give it in writing... coding is as helper to a consultant.
