Microsoft why are you damn obsessed with making so much of your software “start on startup” by default?
It’s so annoying and Microsoft teams is the LeAST efficient chatting app out there so it’s awful on resources. Slack is SO much faster and doesn’t start on startup (I don’t think ?)…
you’re really quite something to blatantly copy the competition, make your product more sluggish, and then add in your nasty ass dark patterns. Microsoft teams = bloatware 90% of the time. Stop prioritizing it

Go out of your way to talk to recruiters personally. If you just apply through a web site you are VERY likely to get black holed by HR filters requiring degrees.
You can get a job based on your experience, but usually landing your first job here is going to be harder. After that it becomes easier
Very few will ask these days. You'll be fine on that front. If you don't have US citizenship, that's probably where you're going to find the most friction - lot of reluctance to sponsor these days.
College is not an issue for most companies. Don’t be afraid to apply for jobs that have a masters listed as required. Experience is much more valuable than “a proper education” in most peoples eyes these days.
You can still land a job without any degree. A lot of tech companies prefer experience over degrees. You just have to widen your network and apply for as many jobs as you can.
If you have a permit or green card, you will be fine; getting a certificate from a community college will be a plus.
If you need a visa, you won’t be eligible for H1B without a degree
