I’ve seen some post with folks claiming that they have $300K to $500K saved up and are between the age of 24-27.. how is this true? Tell the true story. “I still live at home and parents cover my expenses and I didn’t have student loans?” $84K (before taxes) is the average pay for Management consultants in the US (Glassdoor). Please share how you’re saving up your whole salary year after year or have multiple jobs while delivering quality work for your current employer.

Big4 company wants me to tell my current employer (big client) that I am intending to join them and sort of get a soft approval. This is before even giving a written offer. I have no interaction with anyone from this Big4 co, nor has anyone associated with both companies has helped. This is all after interview, offer negotiation, offer approval. Does this happen? Seems like I wasted my time.

How do you 🐠 stay motivated at work? There’s nothing wrong with the work I’m doing - it’s challenging and technical, and tests a range of skills, but I’ve been on my current project for so long that I get no more ‘intellectual kick’. When I wake up, I question what I’m achieving by staying cooped up in my room, cranking away on excel for another 12 hours. I still love consulting, but not sure how to stay as upbeat anymore. All tips appreciated.
