Hey all! i am at the final stage with a well know Fin-Tech company and am meeting with their CPO today for their Executive Recruiter position. Due to me being an end user of their platform, coupled with all of the research I’ve done since the interview process started, i am at a loss for any questions to ask her. Any suggestions. I’ve pretty much asked every question i can think of throughout the process.

Looks like B4 partners makes the most $$ in the long run, even tech/FAANG or industry level senior roles doesn’t pay more then $600-700k, except a few roles like ceo/IB/PE/other financial roles/startup rsu (of u r lucky). Came to the conclusion after reading all the posts in this and other bowls. May be MBB, but if u add pensions, I think B4 is better. Thoughts?

looking for a new (remote) job with 2 YOE. recruiter asked me what my range was, I turned it around and asked her for the range, she said it caps at 60k and I told her I was looking at a minimum of 70k. she met with the company owner (a lawyer) and he agreed to push it to 70k for the right fit. if I get an offer, can I ask for more or is the 70k already the final negotiation?

When's a good time to jump/transition between in house roles? I'm currently in house counsel (3 years big law, 3 in house). I was told by my manager that senior counsel would not be possible (unless current senior counsel) steps down. I'm comfortable here but also nervous about stalling my own career . Mid level CWs in LA, what do you currently make? I was hired at 60k but want to negotiate a raise soon.

Just used a meaningful amount of AMEX points for the first time to buy flights to Greece for my wife and I. Emirates business class both ways for 2 people, 290k pts total or 145k each way for 2 tickets. Plus another 30k to get us round trip domestic connecting flights bringing the total to 320 points. This is on the 777 which isn’t the best business class product out there, but I’ve never flown international outside of coach and think it will still be worthwhile. Think this is an OK redemption?

How do we overcome the inflation objection? I mean obviously the answer is to show how much value we offer, but how do we do that when all of the companies we work with barely have enough funding?

Used to rejection and I don’t let it get me down, but with the job market being the way it is—should I put my plans to get into tech on hold? I was thinking maybe construction sales or even possibly recruiting. I’m hesitating because of the nitpicking from HMs and recruiters for “job hopping”. Hi everyone, I’m looking for a new role with a fast growth startup or a strong saas or e-commerce company. I have about 6 years as an AE and most recently hitting quota for the past 12 months 150% and closed 2 of the largest deals in company history. I have this offer to be a senior sales manager that I am really keen to take up, but after finding out the work hours is horrendously long, I am thinking otherwise.

The working hours is 9 to 6 plus another 6 hours of paper work.

I am keen to join if they can provide a conducive and reasonable work hours which the new management is heading towards but it will take time before it will be actualized.

How do I tell them to reach out to me again once the sales team can work 9 to 5?

Company completely took away quarterly bonuses after my team CRUSHED them the last two years. Didn’t replace them with anything and increased our yearly quota by over 15% from last year. Also forcing us back into the office 4 days a week by people who work from home everyday. Also made the year end bonus all or nothing (no percentage if you’re close) My team hit its goal 10 months out of this year and won’t even sniff our year end goal. Time to leave? Any thoughts ?
