Hi everyone! I’m a Product Designer currently in their first design position at a start-up company. I haven’t done this before as this is my first job, but as of lately I’ve been feeling really unmotivated and stagnant in my role. I’ve been working in the same role for 1 year and 6 months now. I was working at a Hotel one night & I saw a man appearing on two different floors, then in the stairwell. The man was in his 70’s or 80’s. He was wearing nothing but tidy whiteys. When he got to the front desk I asked “is everything alright? My boss is bad at setting boundaries with clients and this affects me on a regular basis as the person who has to do the work. From tons of changes and iteration because the client is changing their mind, to last minute changes that mean I have to work late and that details can be missed, to misalignment because stakeholders fail to join meetings.
