You didn’t “take away” anyone’s job. It’s not a zero sum game.

Your question has answers in it. Start giving back to to communities in cash or kind. Be helpful to the communities you live in. That may make you feel like a contributing member of the community that is giving you all these opportunities of abundance.

You are not looting the country like British did. You are legally working to improving their lifestyle with your tech skill, paying taxes here and spending money here. So you are already in fair game. About giving back to society, it’s above and beyond, and one should do that regardless of where they are and what they do.

like

Makes sense. Just a quick note I am not in tech. Thx

You have a unique skill set, you say. Impart that knowledge so other Americans can get a leg up in the field you’re in as well.

All Americans here were immigrants once upon a time. Either them or their forefathers.

It’s right wing tbh and not a conservative point of view. American conservatism is dead If not for offshoring, apple or Amazon won’t be as successful as they are. The American jobs in question here are mostly blue collar jobs that have been disappearing and NOT stolen. But it’s easy to blame immigrants, China/India and poor people for all your troubles vs creating a future looking education and workforce policy I feel guilty the other way to be honest. I left my homeland , parents to pursue this. The money I spend on lunch here can serve a family for a week if you’re India’s poorest. So I try when I can to help.

Stop feeling guilty, you would be paying taxes.

Lol. It's free capitalistic society. How many jobs and companies have been eradicated around the globe by american companies and their monopolies?

like

Great answers! OP guilt isn't a constructive mindset to be in, you worked hard, you achieved it. Remember to lift as you climb

like

I think you deserve it too OP. Perhaps use your skill set to teach/mentor others, or donate/volunteer at a local organization. It will help you feel more like someone who is giving back rather than "taking away"

We are all just animals..trying to provide for our families and to make a mark in our communities..we created these borders / countries / stories..treat everyone, including yourself, as just a fellow human...
