McK would replace you in a week if you dropped dead. Take care of yourself.
Actually, 24-48 hours. I was on 2 projects and 2 proposals. Felt really sick and decided to take a few weeks off. Everything was taken care of in 48 hours. We are so replaceable

If you drop dead i’ll be taking your place and the clients wont like that. TAKE A BREAK
Skin in the game. Pay for a trip, pay for a hotel room, make plans with a friend. Do something that will keep you accountable to taking your PTO.
Take care of your mental and emotional health for the people who love you - partner, family, kids, friends... my husband is dealing with a similar thing (killing himself for promotion) and it’s really hard on me to watch and live with.
This is a marathon, not a sprint. You go too fast too long you’ll hit a wall. Take the time you need, a few days a week, whatever. Clear your head and then you when return you’ll be a better consultant for it.
OP you are smart enough to know strangers on an app cannot influence you to prioritize your life over work . You know what you have to do, so keep yourself straight and take actions instead of being so insecure about taking PTO
You’re no good to any client, or project if you are not good first to yourself. You come first.
No such thing as spare time.
No such thing as free time.
No such thing as down time.
All you got is life time.
Go.

My SO is a lawyer and I had to be a little more forceful than I wanted to be to encourage a break (worked ungodly hours throughout the pandemic) and after a week off, I have seen a HUGE positive change.
Like night and day difference in over all happiness, energy, etc.
A little break can make a big impact on your day to day. Make sure you take care of yourself and recharge!
Take the time off and use your PTO or believe someone who has learned the hard way when I was younger ...a) your body will eventually do it for you by getting seriously ill or shutting down. and b) unfortunately we all learn at some point that no company really cares. They will send flowers & cards but keep moving without you. The ONLY one who can take care of you is YOU or your immune system will give up and you will not be there with the people you love. I will NEVER forget the look of my now 23 yo at 9 looking into my eyes as I laid in bed so ill and in pain. I knew he was terrified... it was then I learned to change my balance & priorities
Be that person, who made AP (in your target time) even after taking a break - and show that it's quality and not quantity which matters!
Take care of your wellness before it becomes your illness. I had similar concerns and took 6 weeks off, it was amazing but flew by. And honestly it had very little impact to my teams and clients, I found good people to cover critical areas, and there was plenty of work ready for me when I came back.
Send it!
Take a long weekend. Like wed thru mon, gives you a mini break without being out too long. It might mean you just need a small break and not a really long one.
Take a break, otherwise you will burn out
You have no guarantee that all these sacrifices will help you make AP “on time.”
You do not demonstrate maturity or ability to manage , delegate or lead without taking the time you need
