I need a sanity check. How many corporate associates are making cravath scale doing emerging growth? Does someone have a firms list for this?

Note that there are quite a few more that do really well in this area of things and pay Cravath scale. But depends on where you’re located.

Why would anyone do anything other than VC? Seems like much better work life balance and if the same pay... Not currently in VC but looking to make the switch from my sweatshop.

Fair assessment for a lot of the early stage financing but later stage is still custom and outside gc work for startups is more general

What's the best way to prepare a business case presentation? I've been invited to a final round interview for a medical device company as a process optimization consultant. They sent me a client case study. In the case there are pain points of the client, and some numbers to analyze their workflow and recommend them to use their medical devices for process improvement. I'm not sure how to stucture it. how would you approach it?

Looking to get a few certifications, I have worked in both IT and HR consulting and am trying to decide between ITIL, SHRM, and PMP. Any thoughts on which would be best for future, quickest to get, hardest test? I get the cert paid for and a bonus upon completion, so trying to decide which one to pursue or the order if I want multiple.

I have been offered a 25 percent hike at a big 4 but have another offer with 40 percent hike in a Boutiqe firm. I asked the HR of the big 4 if she could adjust since I have a 40 percent hike letter. She said she’ll check. She hasn’t gotten back to me yet. Should I contact her? Currently working at one of the Big 4.

Survey time! Let’s say you put on weight during Covid - enough that clothes don’t fit but not so much that your BMI is too high or you’re very unhealthy. Would you buy a new wardrobe? Or would you try to lose the weight ASAP assuming everyone has to be back in office / client sites in July??

MBB 🐠 I’ve heard that your firms generally only keep the top 20% of newer resources after 2yrs. How true is this? How likely is it for someone to get counseled out at the 2yr mark?

Would you say summaries are as effective for self help books like "the subtle art of giving a fk" and other similar books? I feel the books themselves ramble on too much on a side story only to tell a point that could be summed up in a couple sentences. Or am I just not getting good book recommendations for growth/development on mental well being and productivity
