Is it okay to wear an N95 mask now?? I know at the beginning all N95s we’re supposed to go to medical personnel, but I recently was given a new one from a friend and want to know if it’s acceptable to wear it, or if I should stick to my cloth mask. Note: don’t comment saying “you don’t need a mask”. I WILL wear my mask outside to keep others and myself safe; I’m just wondering if it’s socially acceptable to start wearing N95s if you have one.

Duke University has reported 364 COVID cases. 356 of those people were vaccinated, for a vaccine rate of 97.8% which is way above what is considered necessary for herd immunity. Maybe herd immunity isn’t really a thing? Also, if getting the vaccine is now about reducing COVID impact vs. immunity, then there’s no way for herd immunity to exist, right?
