I would say keep organized outside of salesforce as well. Most of us use an excel to keep track of leads too

Use as a Forecasting tool only

That anxious feeling when you’ve been putting off a non-urgent project, but now it’s become an embarrassingly long time (2+ months) because nobody has followed up in the interim to put some pressure on you… I need to finish it and face the music, but really not looking forward to it. Can anyone relate/any tips to minimize backlash?

Hey everyone, I need some help. I’m looking to get some advise on my career path /trajectory. I have 2 different offers I’m evaluating and have till the end of the week to decide. Both offers are a step up from my current role and comp.

SailPoint (Inside Sales Representative)
- TC 138K (84K base, 36K commission, 18K RSU)

IBM (ISV Partner Specialist)
-TC 280K (150K base, 130K commission)

From a TC point of view the choice is easy. Just worried about long term growth and product fit

I am a sales rep and have worked extremely hard to build a large book of business. Every year upper management seems to find a way to cut commissions and make my hard work, worth less. Is this common? It’s pretty draining to work harder and get paid less year over year even though you’re typically getting more business. I don’t feel valued. Do more for less? Any other great sales companies/ industries that people are happy with and compensated accordingly? Preferably uncapped commissions

Ladies & Gentlemen, with one month left in Q2, some will fall short of our numbers. Others will hit them. I can’t speak for all of us here, however, I can speak for myself. That being said, I will NOT be one that comes up short of my number.

Now, this leads me to you all, to present a question.

If you have to prospect, if you’re looking for new business, is it worth $1500 to put 95% of your prospecting process on autopilot? If so, let’s chat.

Hello everyone,

I am looking to start a career as a solutions consultant and am wondering if there are any certifications that you would recommend that would help give me an edge.

I am currently interviewing for Netsuite but if I do not end up getting the job, will definitely apply for similar roles at other companies.

I have seen online websites suggest project management certs or sales certs. I wanted to post in here to see if there were any recommendations that you all had.

I was very successful as an internaional sales exec at a startup for 15 years before we were bought by a large publicly traded company. The culture shift was dramatic, as was the way that I was expected to work. I was laid off a tortuous 3 years after the buyout.

While I was in some ways relieved (put me out of my misery!) I spiralled pretty hard and after a while started working PT jobs, gig type stuff, etc. while I figured things out, and healed from burnout.

On a new team, internal move. Have about 10 YOE but looks like this will be the first year I end nowhere near annual goal. A few things outside of my control as I'm coming into the territory and things falling through. Role is heavy on renewals/farming but also some hunting. Because the farming has been so bad as I settle into month 4, will have a huge climb. The number of reps/meetings to get there is not attainable. Do I grind it past year 1? I hate that I will come nowhere close to goal...

Verizon. This company only cares about numbers and does not promote based on how good you are. Office politics plays a bigger role. Verizon schedules your schedule based on their needs and not on yours. You are just a number at this company. I was told to sell a credit card to a poor man who couldn't afford to pay his next rent payment so that he can buy accessories. Verizon talks about "integrity" But that's just BS. I have never worked for a company it morally so corrupt.

GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group) Gartner Hi! I'm currently working as an Account Manager in SMB at Gartner. Received an offer to work at GLG EMEA's enterprise financial institutions segment, also as an Account Manager.

Does anyone have any feedback about GLG? Any advice? I do like Gartner but they're offering me a better pay and to work in a much more interesting segment at GLG.
