Honda or Toyota will last forever with little maintenance.

Toyota or Lexus preowned. Smooth driving and low maintenance, high reliability. Great on gas.

I have worked in automotive for over 10 years. When I purchased my first car I did it all wrong. I went in with a payment in mind and felt like I had to buy a car that day. Find what you like! Find what’s important to you in a car. Is it gas mileage? Do you want luxury? Once you have figured that out , have a budget in mind and stick to it. If your credit isn’t great I would suggest you wait until you increase your score. A beetle score means a better interest rate. I hope this helps.

Toyota rav 4 or wrangler sport

Clean preowned Lexus. Looks decent and are comfy to drive and will be low on maintenance

I won’t advise a specific make and model. Instead I recommend you enjoy the process. Go, test drive lots of cars, see what you like and what you don’t. Once you narrow it down a bit, we can help with specific models.

To add on to what Operations Lead said, try researching vehicles online that you like the look of as well and then go in and test drive them. After that, I’d recommend just taking a couple of quick notes on your phone or some paper to jot down what you liked about the vehicle you drove and some dislikes too. It’ll help you when comparing various vehicles.
Best of luck with the search!

For weekend/ travel you want something fun and durable that's not vanilla. The Ford Bronco would top this list given your parameters (if you can find one in inventory).

Yeah. But for OP this is the first car. The base version is still decent.

And right not dealers are price gouging thanks to everyone wanting them. Will cool down once interest rates go up and with the impending layoffs in a lot of industries, people aren't going to be willing to make those $1K car payments

Thank you all for your advice! Very helpful 🙏

My wife and I just experienced our second consecutive IVF miscarriage at 11 weeks. The first miscarriage came at 10 weeks. The doctor said that the chances of miscarriage is 5% at 10 weeks and just 1% at 11 weeks. We went through all testing before we started IVF both times and nothing came back abnormal. We’re not sure what we should do at this point as my wife turns 42 this month. Has anyone else experienced late 1st trimester IVF miscarriages? What factored into your decision?

Bridge between Customer Support and Product Design?

Hiya! I am in the final round of interviews at an EdTech platform for a role that is the bridge between the Customer Support and UX/Product Design teams. I act as that bridge in my current role but on a more informal basis because it is a smaller company.

Would anyone be willing to share their perspective (positive or negative) on the Product/UX end of this relationship? I want to make sure to ask the right questions.
Thank you!

Interested in buying a new toy. I don’t currently have a car or need one, but enjoy driving. I currently make about $120k (pre tax) w/ no debt and $3k monthly expenses. I may be moving into a role where I make closer to $180k.

Would appreciate suggestions for both income brackets. I’d like either a sporty suv (SQ5 equivalents) or a coupe.

Looking for ideas for fun summer weekend toy car. Wife & I have daily drivers and we live up north where number of warm days is small. Looking for ideas something cheap (sub $25K) but fun on country roads when I don't have weekend kids car pool duty.

Everyone is getting 987 Boxsters or Miatas. I like those but prefer something more unusual or different. Thought about TVR 280 but maintenance in US can be tough. Thought Vanderhall but want "real car" with 3 pedals.

Any interesting ideas?
