Apologies in advance for my long winded response, but I’ve been here before. Had my heart set on Agency A, so much so I was blind to other opportunities. After turning down offers and stalling others to continue the process with slow moving Agency A, I decided enough was enough and followed my gut with my second choice, Agency B. Shortly after accepting, Agency A came through with a significantly less appealing offer. I stuck with my decision to go with B. Best decision I’ve ever made. Lesson being, it’s easy for us to put places and people on pedestals, and often times that’s when we lose track of looking after ourselves. Not saying agency A doesn’t want you, considering you’ve gone six rounds it sounds like they like you, but there’s something to be said about an agency wanting you enough to put an offer on the table. My advice would be to politely ask B when they want an answer. Then email A that you received an offer and you need to give an answer by “x”. Don’t double email on the same day, you’ll look desperate and lose negotiating power. If they don’t respond move on. If they do respond, weigh your offers and go with the better one. Trust your gut and don’t wonder what if. Regardless of the outcome, either agency won’t be the last you work at, so it’s best not to put too much weight into the decision. Good luck, you’re in a good spot!

Accept offer B, then you’ll definitely get an offer from A immediately after.

Thanks so much for all the help guys!! This seriously made my decision to go with my second choice much more easier.... Even after making it clear I had another offer on the table, my first choice agency hasn’t responded. YA SNOOZE YA LOSE

Congrats on getting the job 👊

Accept the offer you have. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. If agency B is really your dream, decide if it’s worth potentially burning a bridge or two if you get an offer. But honestly, most people would probably understand if the agency is that great.

This. Also based on what I’m seeing in the past few months, if you haven’t heard from them and they’re not answering follow up you’ve been hit by the 👻

Did you tell A that you’ve received another offer? If you haven’t yet, communicate that.

I don’t want to be pushy but I just am terrified of losing the chance of working at agency B, all just to wait for agency A, a place I love but that hasn’t given me an offer yet and possibly won’t. Also how does anyone focus at their current job while interviewing!!! (2/2)

Let Agency A know they're on the clock. I mean, screw those guys—you have a good offer from a place you'd like to work, so politely ask Agency A, "Any timeline for a decision? Because I really need to know ASAP." If they still hem & haw or say there'll be more layers of interviews, adios Agency A...if they give you an actual decision timeline that's reasonable (a couple sayd?), ask Agency B for a little more time (a couple days?) but not so much that you piss them off, in turn.

like

late here: but If agency a shows back up and you want that offer, take it. Have a really honest call with the recruiter and tell Him/her what a tough choice it was, but that you are backing out and taking another role. If they lost a client tomorrow, they’d cut you. This is business, not friendship.

Thanks so much for the advice! Yeah was definitely thinking about that “what if” scenario. The advice I’ve heard while taking this offer has been quite the opposite, to stay for at least two years before I move to another agency...

Tell agency A you have an offer and if they want to move forward.

Hi guys, I have a last interview round with a company coming up, and I already know I don’t want to work there (as I’m interviewing with other places I find more exciting). Would you do the last interview and THEN let them know you don’t want it? Or would you tell them before the last round interview? And would you just say you’re interviewing with some other places more aligned to your end-goals?
